Wendy's 3 Tour Challenge

Since 1992, the Wendy’s 3-Tour Challenge has been the only professional golf tournament that pits three players from the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours against each other in competitive, head-to-head threesomes for Tour bragging rights. Each threesome consists of one player from each Tour competing in two separate, nine-hole stroke play matches. To date, the annual Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge has raised over $47 million for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

November 12, 2013 - Results - Stacy Lewis and her LPGA team beat the boys in this year's and perhaps the final Wendy's 3Tour Challenge. Lewis started off red hot, shooting 31 on the front nine and finishing with eight birdies towards a pace-setting 65. Lewis was supported by Rio Secco's own Natalie Gulbis, who shot a solid 70 towards a team score of 17-under. The ladies bested the Champions Tour by one shot, after Kenny Perry missed a seven foot birdie putt on the final hole. But the Champions team didn't have a chance until Perry caught fire on the back nine with four straight birdies, before missing the short one on the 18th. Fred Funk paced the Champions Tour with a 68. Never getting on track, the PGA Tour team of Jason Day, Boo Weekley, and Billy Horschel finished at 8-under, keeping a bogey and a scorecard crushing quadruple eight on the final hole in this best two-ball format.

November 13, 2012 - Results - PGA Tour team of Nick Watney, Jason Day, and Davis Love III won 2012 Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge, defeating the LPGA team on second playoff hole. Jason Day and Nick Watney both shot 31's on the front nine staking their squad to a five shot lead at 12-under, but Cristie Kerr and Stacy Lewis shot 31's of their own on the back and Natalie Gulbis carding a respectable 33 to give the ladies a lead on the men, but Nick Watney made a crucial birdie putt on the final hole of regulation to force a playoff. Jason Day's drive on the second playoff hole caught the cart path and traveled 375 yards, leaving the rising PGA Tour star with just 75 yards for his second shot. Sticking it to five feet, after Stacy Lewis missed her own 8 foot birdie putt, Day calmly drained his short putt for the team victory. The Champions Tour team finished third at 14-under.
