ABOUT THE GOLF COURSE
- Rio Secco Golf Club was designed and built in 1997 by golf course architect Rees Jones.
- When Rio Secco opened in 1997 Golf Digest and Golf Magazine voted it among the top ten new courses. In 2007 Golfweek America's 100 Greatest Resort Golf Courses." Voted the # 1 public access course in Nevada by the Las Vegas PGA membership poll along with many other awards.
- Rio Secco lays at the foothills of the Black Mountain Range 13.5 miles southeast of the Las Vegas Strip.
- Rio Secco can play to over 7,400 yards and very difficult, but also offers four teeing grounds to allow golfers of any skill level a memorable golf experience.
- Rio Secco features 6 holes through steep canyons, 6 holes on a plateau overlooking the city and 6 holes in a broad desert wash.
- Rio Secco is legendary among local residents and avid golfers alike for the tremendously challenging, fair, and demanding course layout.

ABOUT THE GOLF OPERATION
- Rio Secco is owned and operated by Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. and welcomes guests from all the hotels in Las Vegas / Henderson Area.
- Known for excellent customer service and superb course conditioning, which is usually to PGA Tour standards including what we like to think are the best greens in the West.
- Tee Times are every 10 minutes to provide a quality golf experience.
- Individual Golf Reservations are taken 90 days in advance and group reservations are taken up to 6 months in advance.
- The Dress Code is strictly enforced (collared shirts, no denim of any kind, no sweatshirts or warm up attire permitted and soft spikes are required on golf shoes).
ABOUT THE CLUBHOUSE
- The Clubhouse is 30,000 square feet in a European theme with dark woods and natural stone.
- The Clubhouse overlooks the 7th, 8th and 9th holes of the golf course with million dollar estates on the adjacent cliffs.
- Black and white photos of some of golf’s greatest players are featured throughout the clubhouse.
- The 2,000 square foot golf shop offers the latest in men's and ladies' apparel such as Tehama, Adidas, Nike, Polo Golf, and Greg Norman.
- Looking for the latest in clubs and balls? Find the latest and greatest in equipment manufacturers like Cleveland, Titleist, Callaway, and Taylor Made. Want it custom? Call the golf shop and find out when the next demo day is to get fitted to your unique needs.
- Janelas Restaurant @ Rio Secco has an excellent breakfast and lunch menu and seats up to 120 guests for special events.
- Janelas is open 8:00-sunset seven days a week, serving breakfast and lunch with special events on holidays.
- Janelas' main bar area features six plasma televisions, sure to offer a great seat for games of all kinds.
- The locker facilities include a private locker room and club-room for VIP guests.

ABOUT THE BUTCH HARMON SCHOOL OF GOLF
- Butch Harmon, known as "the best golf instructor in the world", former golf coach of Tiger Woods, and current coach of many of the top touring professionals including Phil Mickelson, has a teaching facility at Rio Secco.
- One, two, and three day Golf Schools with Butch and his staff are available.
- Corporate schools and appearances by Butch can also be arranged based on availability.

ABOUT RATES & RESERVATIONS
- Current 2010 peak season rates range from $140-$225. Off season rates are typically $60-$175. Contact the golf shop for current rates and details.
- Green fees include shared golf cart, practice balls and a divot tool. You may search and reserve tee times on the home page.
